Smartphones are only tools. If everyone started taking hammers and hitting themselves in the head, that wouldn't make hammers "a disaster for the human race."

Honestly, has technology not been a disaster for humanity? Sure it’s made life more convenient but at what cost? It’s not necessarily to blame technology itself either, it’s the irresponsible manner humans wield it
