From the post:

>A once-dominant tech company is undergoing another mass layoff. Intel is cutting thousands of jobs as it faces mounting pressure from tech competitors in artificial intelligence. The chipmaking giant — which makes processors that power millions of Dell, HP, and Lenovo computers — filed paperwork on July 10 indicating it would lay off nearly 2,400 employees in Oregon. That's a major escalation from just three days earlier, when the company filed WARN paperwork that said only 529 employees were losing their jobs.

You'd think that having AMD constantly nipping at their heels would keep them on point, but they just, let AMD win. It just goes to that complacency can set in even when under pressure.

A very similar thing happened with AMD released their XP series way back in the day. AMD kicked the shit out of all of the intel stuff at the time. They did run hot but they were better and cheaper.

Intel fucked up and let it happen again. That's what happens when you get big fat and lazy and assume you can't have the other guy take ground from you.

Why aren't the democrats crying over these job losses in the private sector?

We all know why. It just doesn't fit their narrative to say so.

Oh, they are crying about it. Just only the jobs lost by criminal illegal aliens like the several thousand that have been fired by Amazon in their warehouses after their TPS was revoked.

THAT they care a whole fucking lot about. But you know, Citizens? Not so much.

the company said it was hoping to slash about 15 to 20 percent of its workforce.

Come on Intel, you can do much much better. How about laying off 100% of your workforce?

Intel is not making investments in AI, GREAT, I think the AI bullshit is just like the marketing catch phrase crap in the 80's using keywords in their reports so stupid CEO's would think they're smarter, pig latin to me personally.

I think Intel might be smart avoiding the AI shit hole investments, MS already busted for paying India engineers to pertend to be AI so it might just be all of them with new backdoors into users computers.
