I never understood why people make these clever drawings. the relations are V = IR and P = VI, the rest is just manipulation

That is all you need to know but getting from p to r can confuse people who suck at algebra, which happens to be every single person I have ever met that talks about highschool math.

Shouldn't "I = Current"?

I = Amps is kind of misleading, because amps is a unit of current measurement, [coulomb/Sec (C/s) = Amps]

Yeah agree they just overcomplicate it. Everyone thinks in volts amps and resistance and watts but they like to throw in stupid words for the equation. Like intensity is the word for amps so it's I, but in reality you are just making it overly complicated by making 8 terms for 4 concepts.

It's like doctor words and law writings... just industry specific jargon to confuse outsiders

And shouldn't "power" be watts, or am I missing something here?

I learned thiese equations as voltage, resistance, current and power. The corresponding measurement units were Volts, Ohms, Amps and Watts, respectively.

I guess I learned the practical units first.

It could be voltamps after being changed through a transformer. Power encompasses both. And yes there is a difference

It's not a pie chart as the segments don't represent values, it's just an infograph
