Video shows the giant reptile pulling the lifeless body of its victim, 57, downstream as shocked villagers shout helplessly from a nearby bridge.
Despite their cries for help, no one could reach her in time. Witnesses said the crocodile suddenly lunged at the woman and pulled her into the water before anyone could react.
Locals rushed to the spot in Odisha's Jajpur district but were unable to rescue her from the reptile's grip.
