Last year, 69 percent of violent robberies and other violent crimes, including sexual assaults, on public transport in the greater Paris region of Île-de-France were perpetrated by foreign nationals, according to the annual figures of the SSMSI, the statistics bureau of the French Ministry of Interior.

However, looking closer at the data, it is revealed that Africans alone are responsible for 52 percent of such crimes while only representing 3.2 percent of the population of France. Even for all of France, the data clearly shows that African nationals account for 42 percent of the above-mentioned types of crimes, way above their statistical weight within the French population.

Does "african nationals" also include "dual citizenship" types? How about french nationals who don't count as foreigners nor as african? Also, not all blacks are africans, the carribeans for instance...

I have a hard time believing there's only 3.2% blacks in france, just by looking at france's football team I think it's a tad above a mere 3%... Just a hunch...

Also, "africans" as in what? Sub-saharans? North africans?

There's no such thing as ethnic stats in france, it's all based on "nationality", so there's that

In all honesty, I’d assume they mean those from south of the Mediterranean, which would include the muslims. And I also think you’re correct in questioning the definition of African…again, just a guess, but I think they refer to those there either illegally or first gen refuge as opposed to a race-based assessment. Looking at skin color, after all, is racist.

Yep if you include the aforementioned I bet it’s more than 10% of France now, and they probably commit 90-95% of the violent and sexual crimes.

All "africans" combined, sub saharans and north africans, caribbeans... I would say it's now between 20 and 30%, now they aren't equally spread of course, but yeah, a good 20%+

Paris is an absolute shit hole. I attended a conference there and made the mistake of relying on public transportation - not a good idea if you don't like blood and vomit. Many of the areas it passed through to get to my destination resembled Africa moreso than anything French. They stink too, and Paris is full of trash (human and otherwise).
