Yeah, I guess you have to be signed in to see comments and other tweets, or bounce around. I can't do it either. And if you don't have a specific tweet link you get redirected to the X sign in page.

You can view comments by putting nitter.net instead of twitter.com but its the extra steps and pain in the ass.

It doesn’t work for many Poalrs here. Nitter and unofficialbird.com are throwing “tweet not found” errors.
Archive.today does work but can only archive a few expanded comments.
