I didn't realize he's there until 2026. Perfect timing to campaign for POTUS in the 2028 election, unless Kari Lake has plans. I'd like to see Kari clean up AZ as it's Gov first though. She won it and AZ needs her.

His ego is being stroked by the Bush cabal into running now because they need to stop the Bad Orange Man. He could've waltzed into office in '28 running as the incumbent VP (Trump's) but that doesn't fit ((( the agenda ))) at all.

Trump hasn't announced a running mate yet. Part of me still suspects Trump and DeSantis might be working together to expose the GOPe DS players at a future date, but DeSantis is playing the GOPe role and Bush team so well IDK. It's still possible DeSantis could become VPOTUS with Trump in 2024, I'd much prefer Gen Flynn.

If Trump and DeSantis are playing the long game together I will be legitimately shocked. It's possible that they'll be convinced to bury the hatchet for the "good of the county / party / ticket / people" but I can't imagine them planning this out.

If I were a Republican strategist I'd be pushing Trump / DeSantis '24, then DeSantis and someone to pander to the conservative base in '28. Flynn would be a good option, especially if he was Sec State during the Trump / DeSantis administration.
