I don't think they've thought this through all the way. In order to discourage illegal immigration , they'll need to jail the folks doing the hiring....

This won't accomplish anything unless the law has some teeth to it. Ten year felony? How about ten years at hard labor. You know, all those hard dangerous jobs that "Americans just don't want to do." Families crossing the border illegally? Separate them and find adoptive parents for all the minors detained. Mom and Dad can bust rocks for ten years. Allow adoption anywhere but the US, Canada, or South America. Nothing is going to change as long as these invaders are treated as honored guests and not as the criminal invaders that they are.

Doesn't it cost thousands of dollars a year to keep someone in prison? Do their prisons even have enough capacity?

Since the federal government owns very little land in Texas (businessinsider.com), maybe Texas should just build its own wall and defend that.

Without felony convictions? What about killers? Let them patrol the border and give them a 007 equivalent.

It is not 'immigration' it is an invasion and it is already a US. felony/act of war.

All illegals should be shot on sight after proof is garnered.
