I think there could be some neat applications for an Album/Gallery type of submission (instead of typical text/link post)
That way we could avoid someone having to post the additional pictures in the comments in order to allow expando functionality: example
One way it could work:
User uploads an album, the first image in the album is viewable just like an link post to an image is (via the expando button)
Little button will be there to take you to the rest of the images (or you can just navigate to comments yourself, they'll both do the same thing)
And if we really want to whip the site slavesadmins to work, the expando could allow users to click through the album images without leaving the page (by clicking on the left/right sides of the expando)
