Someone replied to my post and I got a notification of course and we had a few messages back and forth. Then someone else replied to one of the other guys comments which greatly added to the conversation but I do not get a notification of this. I only discovered it accidentally and now I am wondering how many comments I have missed in the past.

I suggest a notification of any comment on any comment in a post you posted and maybe even just any post that you have commented on at all.

Maybe this option already exists and I just don't know.

I agree that they are not expecting a reply but I think it is nice to fully participate in the conversation. This is a good example right here. I had to scroll way down to find this post again because I wanted to check on the interest level and I would have missed a bunch of comments had I not. Anyway, thanks for looking into it. I like the Pending tag, flair, whatever you call it. lol

If you are a serial poster, receiving a notification for every single comment made in your posts would become very annoying, because plenty of these notifications would be for the same thread.

Imagine 2 people exchanging viewpoints about the topic of a post you’ve made. If they reply to one another 10 times, you’ll get 20 notifications for the same thread. Same thing if they continued that thread where you replied to someone who initially commented in your post.

Agreed. I think it should be an opt in feature. Or ability to opt out I guess.
