Would this drive traffic? I'm not a programmer, but maybe this would be more trouble than it is worth to code?

I'd be interested in seeing things like how many times a post was opened and not voted on.

Could be fun / traffic driver if possible. Maybe some downside as well that I'm not seeing.

Poal is not the same as twatter. Twatter verifies ID by sending all of your personal information and payment information to an israeli security company. That security company then hands it over to the mossad, because they can. Every "blue check" person on twatter is doxxed. They limit the reach of "unverified" users and allow the cucked identified users to have greater reach (although they still play games).

Twatter is a giant goyim surveillance system, by design.

Maybe a view counter, but I wouldn't do much more than that or it's an invitation for bots.

It would be linked to the account here. I don't see anything nefarious about that.

Poal does not use third party statistical tools and does not collect data on user’s activity and posts. The only metric logged for admins is the post views to detect bots.

The goal of Poal isn’t to mine data. It’s a free speech platform for people to share and debate opinions.

Also, Poal doesn’t send referral when you click an external links. They don’t know the requests came from here.

You only mine and track data if your goal is to monetize on it, which I don’t.

Cool, I was thinking it would be something neat to see, but I for sure do want to see any third party tools involved. I wasn't really thinking driving traffic as a monetary thing, more as if people spend more time on the site it could lead to more engagement.

Badges are there to reward Poalrs who make this place worth visiting.

For sure. I appreciate having mine.

How about like a simple java script hit counter that is automatically inserted into each post?

Poal has several protection against data mining. Adding a hit counter would be counter productive.

I don't see the point of all that for a website with a pretty small active user base.

Exactly the reason it might be wise to brainstorm ideas which could boost engagement and prevent further atrophy.
