I block people periodically because sometimes they go too far with their spamming. Not all of their links are bad and not all of the subs they post in are bad. I don't really want to block these users or subs, but I also don't want to see an endless list of shitposts filling the /all/new section. If I block them I can't upvote them on their good posts without unblocking first. Subscribing to users isn't the answer, there's just too many. I reserve that for the users I actually like, and to be honest I rarely use it. It seems to me the easiest way to do this would be to have a blocklist specifically for /all. What does Poal think?

Maybe an extra category for /new. Hot, New, Pop, Top, and Filtered

Note also, if the element names get changed at all, the element it looks at wouldn't exist any longer and will no longer hide posts by the user. Would need to get the new element names to update the code to check the post author link in the post header. Shouldn't be an issue though as these elements haven't really ever changed, but something to keep in mind if someone uses this and it stops working suddenly in the future.
