On desktop it's not an issue but on mobile it sometimes makes inserting a link a pain in the ass.

I have to scroll the page and real quick hit the link button before the "copy/paste" popup comes back.

Done, but I made it permanent, as it feels more natural to have the toolbar at the bottom, and follows the post/comment toolbar's position.

Do you mean the markdown buttons (showing underneath the copy/paste popup in your screenshot?

What's the exact issue here? If you tap somewhere else the copy/paste popup will just go away and you can use the markdown. Is that what you want to accomplish?

If I tap somewhere else the word I have highlighted to add a link to will become unhighlighted.
