Automation goes against what Poal is about: user’s interaction. And what is automatically posted doesn’t get approved by the OP.

The ToS is clear about accountability of what users are posting. Delegating that to a third party (bot or AI) goes against the ToS and is also considered as spam.

FYI @StoneToss has an account here (verified through email exchanges).

In theory, that sounds like a good idea. Consider what Poal is for, however, it's not an RSS feed but a place people post and share interesting things. Sure, I like Stonetoss, but if we start automated postings, how would Poal be anything more than a mechanical RSS feed?

I'm going to say I don't think any automation should be used to continuously post material: any material. This is for people to share what they find interesting. Go ahead and post stonetoss every day, if you want. If you want to see it everyday, you can go directly to their feed.

it could be good for certain things and have sensible limits like 1 post per day

Have to agree with Vastrightwing on this one. This is a place for people to post, not to have automated events like posting on a users behalf. It's specifically something that has the potential to be abused by glowniggers and other enemies of Whites:

A new 'user' could post an introduction and interact enough to make the account auto post. They could then have a 'trained' AI handle all the responses. (Just saw something about downloading and training your own AI bot, today.)

After the account had gathered enough clout, it would have the potential to do plenty of other things. Things like dropping our enemie's propaganda would just be the start. Sure, real users would eventually route them out, but who's to say how much damage something like that could do. I'd venture to say something about one on one interactions with users via PMs, as well. (Use your imagination, here.)

I see that idea exactly like limits on speech: certain speech is ok. Fortunately, Poal isn't mine, so I can't dictate how posts are done. I would not schedule a job to mechanically post anything. But let's see...

(PS) I see what you did there. KEK

I mean it's good for niche and regular interests provided it's set up right. tons of sites like this have 3rd party scheduling
