It's ridiculous that users can have frivolous permabans from certain subs given by powermods who were kicked off the site for TOS violations. If anything, those users should be rewarded for getting on the bad actor's bad side first. Good instincts!

Sounds like it would be easier to check users with site bans, see if the users were sub mods, and if so, unban anyone they ever banned. There can't be that many.
