Some post topics are negative or disturbing and there's no way to hide them from view when looking through all/new. And I don't particularly want to block the sub they were originally posted to in order to not see the post link on the main page.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean? Can you clarify a little more?

A button to hide stuff you don't want to see in particular. Like hide a specific post

Edit: not OP just clarifying

How would that work, I mean if it isn't a block sub button, how would you define what you want hidden and what you don't?

Kind of like how I can downsize your comment with '+' or '-'

@FBInigger was correct. It's to hide a specific post from the page you're viewing at the moment.

Here's an illustration (i.imgtc.ws) of what it looks like on voat if you have AVE installed.

Click on "hide" and that post disappears from view. The rest of the page stays the same.

He already has the code in his comments. Just needs to port it to the /new

Or an option to hide posts you've clicked on already. This would make it harder for forum sliders to be successful and you know when you've caught up on everything and can move on with your life.

Unless of course the goal is to just be Reddit and generate traffic. Then obviously, continue copying their 15 year old model without addressing glaring flaws like everybody else does.
