Why bother with this? Points are useful to allow people who have been here a bit and leveled up to be able to use more of the site. Slows the spam and shills down.
We all know what points are and how they effect usage on the site. Do you see an issue with someone opting out of receiving up/positive up votes?
My point suggesting is because: "Sometimes things are shared but the there's no need or want for silly internet points."
You’ll own nothing and will be happy.
Now eat your bugs, goyim!
Imagine a capitalist points system where users can choose from a myriad of point scoring systems they can buy from various competing point system vendors. No one vendor would have lock-in and users could control the market with their wallets. If a vendor builds an inferior point system, they would go out of business to a more innovative vendor who came up with a better system. It could advance the whole notion of how sites that use points for feature privileges and visibility.
Of course this could only work in a high-trust, White internet since kikes, niggers and other shitskins would ruin it just like they do everything else. But imagine how letting the capitalist market drive internet site development would go if no one would ruin such a thing. It would never happen though.
You’ll own nothing and will be happy.

That's what it sounds like to me too.....
The whole own nothing thing...it's not a statement of threat or intention. It's reality today and has been for longer than we've been alive. We all need to enjoy and take care of what we do really own though.
