As the title states. Sometimes things are shared but the there's no need or want for silly internet points. Views and comments are well and good enough. The down vote button should remain in tact and functional though, no question.

Sometimes things are shared but the there's no need or want for silly internet points.

Views and comments are well and good enough.

Something can’t be shared if it doesn’t get exposure (upvotes). Without upvotes, a post will end up deep in the /new queue in less than a few hours.

That is half way down on my first page of new....

Your /new home page, not /all/new, which means you must be subscribed to subs for their posts to show up.

I understand that. I'm exclusively an all/new user. You stated that stuff would get buried rather quickly without up votes in new. I provided proof that that's not the case and also asked about following/subscribing in another post.

And if the submission was to a sub that one is following or by a followed user? Submissions get buried within a few hours as it is on a busy day.

My recent submission was put out there to shed light on the loss of someone. It's there for fake clout, which too many are very stuck on.

This should be upvoted to the front page out of spite.

Don't like open source? Charity? That's fine.

Check the comments. Thanks again for sharing that movie. I'll find out sometime why blood calls him albert.

Why bother with this? Points are useful to allow people who have been here a bit and leveled up to be able to use more of the site. Slows the spam and shills down.

We all know what points are and how they effect usage on the site. Do you see an issue with someone opting out of receiving up/positive up votes?

My point suggesting is because: "Sometimes things are shared but the there's no need or want for silly internet points."

You’ll own nothing and will be happy.

Now eat your bugs, goyim!

Imagine a capitalist points system where users can choose from a myriad of point scoring systems they can buy from various competing point system vendors. No one vendor would have lock-in and users could control the market with their wallets. If a vendor builds an inferior point system, they would go out of business to a more innovative vendor who came up with a better system. It could advance the whole notion of how sites that use points for feature privileges and visibility.

Of course this could only work in a high-trust, White internet since kikes, niggers and other shitskins would ruin it just like they do everything else. But imagine how letting the capitalist market drive internet site development would go if no one would ruin such a thing. It would never happen though.

You’ll own nothing and will be happy.

Now eat your bugs, goyim!

That's what it sounds like to me too.....

The whole own nothing thing...it's not a statement of threat or intention. It's reality today and has been for longer than we've been alive. We all need to enjoy and take care of what we do really own though.
