Noticing what others haven't seen? How does one notice that?
Basically time shifting to periods where people are more likely to see what they didn't know they missed.
But what I am asking is how someone would know that someone else didn't see something? I understand what the idea is, I'm asking how you determined it's needed.
Oh. The metric I suggested was of median interest. Meaning, look at what others found interesting. The question becomes, was it only of median interest to everyone or was it of median interest because not everyone observed it.
Personally, I observe a significant difference in votes simply by the time of day I post something. Which IMOHO means some people only look at current posts when they happen to appear online and don't look back for the rest of the day. Or they are making assumptions that they won't look because it's not already up voted. That type thing.
