Reasons:

  • the algorithm can't get them all

  • not all related posts have the same link

  • not all related posts are link posts

  • this will help encourage discussion by giving users easier access to discussion in similar posts they may have missed.

Cons:

  • potential for spam, off topic trolling. A level requirement might help with that.

Implementation:

  • my suggestion would be using special characters or special markdown with a link to the related post.

  • possibly use a keyword when adding the link. Like this #Related

  • this would add the referenced link to the related posts section

  • this is where @AOU would have to help. I'm not very good with markdown. And there maybe other ways too.

Yeah sorry. I'm not very good with "detailed descriptions." You should see when I try to document my code. Laughable...
