I noticed that one of my posts got tagged nsfw (for language) and so it disappeared for myself, until I turned it off.

If that would add too much overhead to do a same user check on the nsfw filter you could turn off nsfw filtering for /u/{your own user}/posts.

So you would just do a same user check on /u/user/posts and then turn off the filter if it is the same user.
