This would trim back on a lot of pinging and thus save server resources and be very useful. There's often times where I see a comment in on of my thread which would be great to have stickied but I have to ping someone to get it done.

I can already see how this will be abused.

  • Shills who want to post fake news with their own comments stuck on top to prevent others from seeing comments below calling them out.

This is one example, but there are plenty more.

Comment and post stickies should be handled by mods of subs.

I suppose yeah. Eh, thought it was a good idea. I ping so fucking often for it but that side of things makes sense.

Make it require a certain level? Like 50 or something?
