My apologies if this is redundant

When I click a comment reply, esp if I respond to the comment - at some point it should be marked as read. Reduce the inbox count. Etc.

Currently, it only does that about 1/3-5 times.

This seems like a design feature or at the very least a troublesome bug because it's so persistent. But no one else is complaining that I see and it drives me crazy that I can read and even respond to a comment and then I scroll scroll and see oh a new message only to realize it's the same message as when I logged on

Lol well that's fair. I've been in the rural ever since I started using Poal

Still - isn't there a simple workaround like a checksum?

Ok, no sweat otherwise my man. I just point out things when I see them cuz I'd like it if people did the same

You might give it a try. I just rewrote that part and it should be better now.
