When I send an email. There is the to: which can be the main sub. And then the cc: the sub tagged that aou wants it in or if some other guy likes the post and wants to have it show up in their sub. They can add their tag...

So if people are posting to funny. And I got my sub that's called "memes that can red pill my boomer dad while he eats his shreddies cereal" I can keep the comments rolling aaaaand I a copy of it in my own sub. It avoids duplicate postings. 🤷🏻‍♂️ answer might be obvious but my iq is 14.

If you make a post with the same link or image in multiple subs there is a button that shows the other subs it is in and therefore they are linked together. Not quite what you are suggesting, but close.

I wouldn't know. I'm not privileged to have my own sub yet... I just see scrolling NEW and the same thing shows up for two subs. Like qstorm and qpatriots and they have different comments and different likes. So my question is still.... why can't the same post be in multiple places keeping comments together??

This isn't something specific to sub ownership. Any post that has an identical link or pic to another post will have the button to see the others. AFAIK anyways. I have only done this a couple of times.

I misunderstood something...

I guess the way I see it... If I post duplicate content I then have the ability to write my own subtext and put it to a different relevant sub and it gets bumped. But it keeps all past comments and such associated. like a sub of a sub or ... idk. anyways. thanks.

You're perfectly free to crosspost. It is rate limited to prevent the front page from being the same post over and over.

I think that's a good idea, actually. Sometimes there are posts, that would fit into multiple channels. Of course, that feature would be ripe for abuse, e.g. would make spamming much easier. So it should be limited to users which have been here for a while, and don't want to ruin their reputation...

Implementation-wise it would work by changing the sub-field from a many-to-one into a many-to-many relation. This would require some rewrite, but it seems possible to implement... But I don't know the source of poal, so I can't say.

You're a dumbass. Can you explain why you want to put the same post on multiple subs?
