On the old site.... much like how Poal has Post Details where it shows the Score with up and down votes, on the old site it also showed views.

Obviously, we want to see how many up and down votes there are, but views are also a great piece of information.

Did a lot of people click on this, and they just don't give a shit? Did only a few see the post, but nearly all upvoted?

With Poal's voting habits, you can't tell if a post had a bad title that everyone scrolled past, or something that lots of people saw, and hated, but were too polite to downvote.

It's good info in many other ways too, and I'd be nice if we could see it.

When I see the 'x new posts' flashing on some posts, I go back and re-read the thread.

It's using your browser's LocalStorage (no data is or can be collected).

The last visit for a post is stored by your browser and some js is checking if new comments have been made since your last visit. New comment counts are also pushed live with websocket when you have a tab opened on poal home and front pages (hot/new/pop/top)
