Your point is broadly correct, no site will get busted without an insider.
Becoming an insider for the TOR network is trivially easy. All you need is an exit node or 10, and some time. Eventually, because there are a small and finite amount of these exit nodes, you're going to get the traffic you want. That your traffic made hops all over the world doesn't matter, because what comes out of the end is the product you're interested in.
All I can say is if you believe it to be 100% safe and secure, then go for it.
Poal will be stronger and anti-fragile with a darknet server. And it will be part of a war that is playing out where information is critical.
