The new user's biggest complaint seems to be moving of their posts and I think if they knew where to post in the first place most problems would be alleviated and the sub communities could thrive. can this smokescreen be removed?

yea but then you have to stop and make sure the sub you have thought of is active and not pozzed. /v/showerthoughts was once a thing and somehow differerd from whatever and politics but was absorbed by those two and others. I think the coming and going of subs should be seen as a more organic flow.

I Think people hate writing something for it only to get a single upvote and them not know why? was it what they wrote? or where they posted it? or a bad time of day? some feel that every post comes with a risk of the fbi coming through the door.

I will reiterate my request for a branch interface of subs when posting

There are the main subs that all new users see, chances are one of those will fit what you want to post.

You may find it difficult to get your request fulfilled. The number of new subs with no clear or overlapping intent has muddied the place up quite a bit. Everything from misspelled things to people just registering numbers and state names.

yes it does seem to sprawl sideways and i think the conversation could be much better focused if redundancies and loose ends were eliminated at the same time as promoting a new subs that wish to garner a following. but maybe there's a sub for that. maybe there's three. maybe the sub becomes pozzed and needs a emergency alternate. I feel bad for those who keep this place together. its a fine ship and a wonder to the commoner and people just come here freely and complain like the dirty migrants they are (well maybe Voat was like Australia on the world stage).
