Supposedly this option was coming.
Click on your username (top right) and there's a night mode button. It's named "theme" and looks like a moon when it's disabled. When enabled it looks like a sun.

Yeah it makes the text field darker grey when you type and the background is black. Easier to see the cursor and looks better when typing.

Also, I agree with you.
Anything would help. Right now when I roll over the text field to type the cursor is almost the same color as the background and I can barely see it.
