Some users who want to share an image file here think it goes in /s/pics, regardless of content. Doesn't matter if that image file is a screenshot of text, they think just because it is a "picture file" it can go into /s/pics.

I suggest using the same guidelines/rules Voat had - they seemed to be a simplified version of reddit's content guideline with some improvements.

Rules of v/pics:

Submissions must link directly to a specific image file or to a website with minimal ads. We do not allow blog hosting of images ("blogspam"), but links to albums on image hosting websites are okay. URL shorteners are prohibited.

No animated images, gifs, etc.

No memes, comics, "posters", image macros, etc. Screenshots and submissions with text overlays must have emphasis on the picture itself, and not the text.

No gore, porn, or distasteful nudity. NSFW content must be marked.

No overtly political content, where the emphasis is on the politics rather than any intrinsic artistic/aesthetic value. Please consider /v/politics, which allows images, for such content. (this became a guideline later for v/pics rather than a rule but I think it would be good to include)

No text/self posts.

and r/pics (less so but all "pics" subs were based on reddits intended content - I included this for reference only to show the intended content is the same):

No screenshots or pics where the only focus is a screen.

No pictures with added or superimposed digital text.

No porn or gore.

No personal information, direct links to any social media, subreddit-related meta-drama, witch-hunts or missing/found posts.

All titles must follow title rules.

Submissions are only allowed from one of the approved image hosts.

No gifs or videos.

Comments must be civil. Any racism, bigotry, or any other kind of hate speech is strictly prohibited and will result in a ban. (fuck this nigger kike shit)

No submissions featuring before-and-after depictions of personal health progress or achievement. (yeah that's gay)

No false claims of ownership (FCoO) or flooding.

Reposts of images on the front page, or within the set limit of /r/pics/top, will be removed.

Normal users are allowed only one self-promotional link per post.

Used a link post because I like thumbnails :)

I admire this post. The amount of effort put in just so you could type "s/pics" is truly commendable!

I was taught to leave the place better than you found it.
