The sorting option i most see a need for is the option to "sort by unread" it would be shit if I had a red notification but had so many read comment replies that the one I may have forgotten to mark as read is hidden pages away... it was only 3 replies down in my case and still annoyed me.
Sorting by new obviously should be kept as an option.
