While I am in favour of an indefinite content width (en.everybodywiki.com), the width of embedded videos should be limited to ~600px to be able to resize the video when zooming out and to avoid obstruction from being too large.

It should be indefinite for text, but for embedded videos, it should be around around 640px to allow resizing it by zooming in and out.

It covers nearly the entire vertical view port.

You might have a bug going on because I don't see what you are talking about.

The embed video can't exceed it's parent div's width.

Can you post a screenshot?

I am currently on mobile.

But the video (tested in /s/dailymotion) appears to have some vh limit of ~90.

However, on desktop, zooming in and out does hardly resize the video.

Actually, I can fix it myself using a browser add-on that allows custom style sheets.

I can't reproduce that issue. The video doesn't overlap/overflow its parent div.

I'm gonna need more details (browser/version) and a screenshot of the issue to see what you are exactly talking about.
