This seems hard to implement without there being a proper way to vet a mod on spam and flooding. How many infractions must a mod make before his sub is turned into a novelty sub. Is there any way that novelty sub can change back if mods change or if the attitude of a mod changes. And doesn't this function kind of defeat the purpose of having a mod?
The sub is not turned a novelty by the admins, the owner himself declares it as novelty using a checkbox. Then they can circlejerk as they wish, but no points are earned. If the sub is not novelty and the mods are deleting things and banning users for circkejerky reasons, then it would be a case for admins intervening. It would be as a contract. I agree to offer freedom of speech by these rules (delete only spam, flooding and clearly off-topic), or if I don't agree, my sub is novelty, I need the banhammer, but points won't be collected. If you're in it for the lols, you don't care about points, right?
Good points. I'm for this idea.
