This creates a problem. Your options for getting around it currently:

  1. Don't block them.
  2. Block them and hope they don't spam your subs.
  3. Ban them from all subs you mod and then block them, reddit style.

For me, personally, it's option one. There's not anyone I want to block that badly. Or I can just block the sub the user posts in and not the user. But if we just made it so you would see all users who post in your sub, regardless of block status, that would sidestep the entire issue.

Reddit has a thing called mod mode.

When deactivated, the moderative tools are hidden.

But I think mod mode also shows posts by blocked users for the reason you stated.
