I am not sure whether it is a good idea, but Voat has a “comment modlog” feature.

It provides transparency to users to see which kinds of comments the moderators delete, but I am not sure how Voat handles comments that should be entirely deleted due to personal information.

They would have far less exposure in the logs.

I would think the contrary.

Having all the controversial (deleted) comments accessible in one place makes it easier to search for, easier than having to search all posts and their comment threads.

That deletion log by Voat doesn't seem like the brightest idea.
