On the Poal front page, there is a list of most upvoted submissions during the last 24 hours.

I suggest having that for hot and/or new submissions of a subverse in the sidebar as well, to increase the exposure of those posts to users who mainly browse comments and not the subverse front page.

But I presume that some users find Poal through a post listed in a web search engine.

If they happen to be on desktop and glance at the side bar, they could get encouraged to take a look at the new posts if they see that there have been some during the last 24 hours.

Fair enough. The thing is most of our user base is browsing poal on mobile (which is what we focus on at the moment).

I see.

For mobile, that text could be placed below the comment section, where it should not be intrusive to anyone, but still noticeable.

We already have some plan for new features (especially on mobile) :P
