I don't dislike it, I'm just not sure if it would work out. Please tell me if it would go well for the site.

I don't know, my first thought was allowing people to spend their earned points on things for their profile or maybe special flairs for posts or something like that. The whole buying thing I hadn't really considered and it feels kind of pay to win to me, but it could be debuffed or something.
