Definently potential for that, but I think it wouldn't be that bad so long as users can see who tagged you and you have to use the points you gain through posting to to do it. An added restriction could be you can't tag the same user more than once in a while, with that time limit increasing the more you tag the same user.

If the system was opt-in, I'd be okay with it. But I have no desire for people to be able to give me flair or a title against my wishes. I see nothing but more options for g@b@r@ to fuck with the site with very little pay off.
