I have noticed that many comments in /s/ModAbuse show as “[deleted]” (both contents and user name), because the poster apparently deleted their account at some point.

However, the deletion of the content causes many memory holes in all the conversations.

On Voat.co, users have many options (archive.is) regarding their account deletion.

I suggest Poal.co to implement those options so that those who delete their account have the option to do so without leaving memory holes.

Voat also gives users the option to just deactivate their account instead of entirely deleting it. The reactivation works through a recovery mail.
