Reddit has a /r/findAReddit, of which the subreddit Wiki has an integrated subreddit index.

Poal.co has /subs, but that is just a sortable list, not a categorised index / map.

I suggest such an index to be created so that users can explore and discover more diverse communities.

only work if sub owners properly categorize their subs.

I don't know how my occasional autism will deal with that.
