Reddit has the sorting options “Hot” and “Controversial” for both comments and posts.
For anyone who doesn't know it yet:
- “Hot” means posts that are both very new and much upvoted, thus currently relevant.
- “Top” means: Most upvoted, regardless of post age (except if shorter time range selected).
- “Controversial” means: High number of both upvotes and downvotes. Reddit shows more recent posts with that criteria.
