It would be good if one could search for comments within a thread.

A viable, simpler alternative is a URL parameter that manually specifies the number of comments per page (e.g. “?limit=1000”), or the number of comments loaded initially when using bottomless scrolling. Reddit also has such an URL parameter that shows 500 comments by default (on old.reddit.com).

We do have a comment search feature. It searches for specific words though. Also, you have to be red (level 30/9000 points) to use it.

Ah, I see.

But why does one need to be at level 30 to use it?

red privilege

I meant:

Is there a technical reason for it?

Its not a bad idea, but currently we are a bit short on server resources. In order to implement something like that we would need more ram on poal's main server. While I would love to do that(seriously I would) It is sadly not free so until either I have more money coming in from my jobs or more donations roll in on a consistent basis or someone makes a ridiculously large donation, this one will have to wait a little while.

Thanks for the suggestion, but we just can't do this one right this minute but I will put it on my list of ideas that I plan to revisit.

Perfectly understandable.

Thanks for explanation.

Hopefully, Poal will become very successful one day.

In my experience, the atmosphere at Poal is by far better than at Reddit and Voat.

Yeah I just need a little bit more a month to get to that next server tier.(really I need another subscriber on subscribestar and that gets almost half the billed payed every month which would help).
