It would be good if subverse moderators could set extended thread lifespans (prior to archival), such as 1 year, 2 years, and maybe indefinite.

When I was on Reddit, I have noticed that many threads that were still relevant were archived because they passed the age of six months, therefore I was unable to participate in those.

A post lifespan of longer than six months (ideally indefinite) would also be useful for subreddits/subverses that have the purpose of finding lost stuff (e.g. Reddit's /r/HelpMeFind).
