Might just lull people into a false sense of security thinking they can somehow hide their words and identity from glowniggers.
The point of the spoiler markdown is not/was never about hiding something from anyone (PM are there for that reason).
It's simply used to not immediately expose/spoil something in public comments (movie plot/details, jokes...)

That's like calling it censorship when I put electrical tape over my laptop's camera so the FBI can't watch me masturbate. Providing users with tools to protect their own privacy is not the same as censorship.
edit: and see here is a case where i might use the spoiler to avoid comment search, so the NSA can't find this by searching "FBI"
