Here is a succinct definition of austerity. I believe America is the new Greece, and we are having austerity measures imposed on us; the denial of health care, the high unemployment rate, shortage of consumer goods to name a few measures. I’m just starting a discussion because I’ve noticed a pattern. Does what you have seen over the last two years resemble what could be called “austerity”? Why or why not?
