Ever since we started breeding (personally, as my family has always done it) we have been of the opinion that they are better than cats and dogs. Also older domesticated rabbits gain fat, which is good and something that you do not get in wild rabbits (except pregnant or nursing ones). So after 8-10 years of having your pet you can eat it.
