Plenty of squirrels here, deer and turkeys too. Nothing like mountain lions though. I don't have a shotgun threaded for a choke but thinking of trying turkey hunting with a regular .223.

Only allowed to use shot for turkeys in my hone state but i think at reasonable distances a 223 for lions would be fine, with proper bullet selection.
We are pretty loose here, rifles allowed. I shoot 223/5.56 more than anything and reload it so it's practical.
I recently tried out some .223 sierra gamechangers in my cheapass RAP and god damn theyre shooting tiny ass cloverleafs, fwiw.
