I was hunting mountain lions the last couple days, but we are getting a crazy warm spell, melting all the snow off. I wont bother calling lions without a white background. So come wednesday im doing late archery elk to pass the time until proper lion calling weather returns. What are all 3 of you niggers that subscribe to this sub up to?

I go sock hunting every now and then. I take an odd sock and try to match it with other odd socks in the depths of my sock drawer. It's very satisfying when I get a match.

I stopped bothering with matching socks years ago

This is a hobby I wish I had taken up. I can’t imagine the thrill of tracking a big cat. That sounds amazing. I camped and fished, took a rabbit or two during survival school, but never made the opportunity to go hunting. I wish I had done it.

You tuck yourself in under a fir tree at first light on a snowy foggy morning in the mountains and start making lost fawn noises. 20 minutes later you catch some movement out of your peripheral vision. Your brain throws a rod. Finally you realize that what youre looking at is an apex predator 5 steps away sneaking up on you. Nothing compares. I did a lot of drugs when i was young and dumb. But theres nothing like it. Its a rush like no other. Its not too late to start.

Yikes! That’s way too close. They have a skull crunching bite. Mountain Lion stories in my area are from bicyclists who didn’t know a mountain lion was there until they were dragged off their bikes. Lol! I shouldn’t laugh.

No such thing as too close, as long as it doesnt puncture flesh

Whitetail. Haven’t been seeing many

Theyre down hard in my area. Bad, bad predator problems for years, now we had the worst bluetongue outbreak ever. I could have taken a couple young bucks during late rifle, but id rather let them walk. Not even going to hunt them late archery. Our whitetail are hurting, bad. I live in probably the only state that has such poor game management that they cant even keep a healthy population of whitetail. And i only expect it to get worse. Just glad i have a couple 160 - 170 class bucks on my wall. Pretty sure thats a thing of the past..

I know we have big deer in the area but they only move in the dark

[–] 0 pt

They move in the day. Guaranteed. You just need to be in close to their bedding areas

Squirrels lol. Old 10/22 and a 3 cents per. 30 minutes from tree to plate too.

Only squirrels here are the nocturnal flying variety, the ground variety which i killwith extreme predjudice, and cocksucking nigger red squirells which love nothing more than to scream incessantly at hunters, and of course theyre protected. The absolute cuntiest horkers on the planet.

Plenty of squirrels here, deer and turkeys too. Nothing like mountain lions though. I don't have a shotgun threaded for a choke but thinking of trying turkey hunting with a regular .223.

I wish I could use a rifle for turkey

Only allowed to use shot for turkeys in my hone state but i think at reasonable distances a 223 for lions would be fine, with proper bullet selection.

I enjoyed every word of this comment. I’m chuckling to myself.
