Sometimes I think it's Hunter himself. It's like he is trying to be as bad for his fathers image/business as possible. Except it's never enough, hookers aren't enough, crack isn't enough, weird incestuous pedo shit isn't enough... nobody will kill him or jail him or report on any of it.
He doesn't have the balls or the upbringing to outright oppose the machine so he is tossing himself into the gears, letting go, spiraling out as hard as he can. He's a rich kid who has to wear his dead brothers big shoes and simply can't live up... and now he is tantruming.
