Yes, Ardvarcus clued me in later, then I found the story line on Snopes. I should have know better because it's NYPost. Apparently a NYPost Halloween prank. Pretty sick of them to joke about this subject.
This doesn't make sense to me. A woman is worth a lot to these traffickers. Why mark your find for others. Seal the deal and take her. Obviously they have done their surveillance. What is the point in altering others?
