My nephew (poa) is putting my dad into nursing home against his wishes. dad has savings (w nephews name as co) enough to cover home health for at least 4 years. dad is 92 lives on farm that was his great grandfathers farm. other than when he was drafted has never lived anywhere else, built his home himself. i have been his caregiver since 2015, he does not want to go to nursing home.

Over simplified way of saying because you fucked up, someone else who shouldn't be is now making choices for your father.

Not all mistakes allow for second chances and you can't fix the past.

What you can do is learn from the current situation. Sometimes even if you have been given another opportunity, it might not show up in the form you anticipated.

If your father lives any length of time whatever savings he has will go to the nursing home.

He can afford home health nursing care for at least 4 years with the cds he has, my nephew is listed on them also, not sure if like co owner or beneficiary, but those could be used so he could be at home.
